People and Organisation

We formed in 1986 to focus upon the people side of business and organisation. Clients use us to co-create new approaches in a variety of people-centred and problem-solving ways.

Organisations of all kinds are having to deal with increasing orders of demand and complexity. In many cases their customary approaches to getting things done are coming under ever-increasing stress.

This may well call for more effective, creative collaboration in many directions – internal, external, upwards and downwards, for knowledge, process and projects. Habitual ways of thinking and doing can easily stand in the way of such important progress, however, so that outcomes sought from intended improvements prove elusive.

Our commitment is people-centred and seeks out the innate potential for creative brilliance and collaborative achievement that lie in every organisation’s make-up. Our approach uses information, reflection and dialogue to open up new methods and pathways towards more self-effective, self-responsive and self-organising performance.

We coach individuals in key positions, and we facilitate the development of teams.

Our work is informed by our deep experience of management, project management and consulting gained over many years in a range of sectors, and is led by David Adams MA (Oxon), FRSA.

David facilitates learning and co-creation, and provides consulting, coaching and project management to boards, remuneration committees, high performing executives and other groups. His earlier experience covers international finance, major charitable projects and international management consultancy. He is a member of the Society of Organisational Learning in Scotland (SoL), a founder member of the Dialogue Group at Meadowhead, and writes for the Financial Times’ HR Expert advisory system. He read PPE at Oriel College Oxford and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts
